💫 The 14-Day Microblading Aftercare Guide 💫

Congratulations! You’ve taken the plunge and got those perfect brows. Now comes the most important part: Aftercare. Your microblading investment relies 50% on the artist and 50% on how you treat them during the first two weeks.

Think of your new brows as a precious wound that needs a special shield. Follow this guide precisely to ensure perfect color retention and flawless results.

Days 1–2: The 'Protect & Cleansing' Phase

Your brows look intense and dark right now—this is temporary! Your primary goal is to keep the area clean and manage any lymph fluid without scrubbing.

IMAGE 1: Initial Care & Gentle Cleaning image_1.png is an illustrative split-screen guide.

  • LEFT PANEL: The day of the procedure. Notice how dark and perfect the brow looks. Your instruction is simple: GENTLE PAT (DAY 1-2). Use the sterile cotton swab and the solution provided by your artist to lightly absorb fluid.
  • RIGHT PANEL: As you begin to heal, tiny film-like flakes (like miniature puzzle pieces) may appear. This is normal. Crucially, as the hand illustration shows, a bold red 'NO' graphic means: DO NOT PICK FLAKES (DAYS 3-7). If you pull a scab, you pull the pigment with it. Let them fall off naturally.

Days 3–9: The 'Scary' (Dark & Flaky) Phase

This is the hardest phase, psychologically. Your brows will darken as the skin closes, and then they will become patchy and itchy. Refer to this image when you feel nervous.

IMAGE 2: The Intense & Patchy Reality image_1.png defined the "NO." image_2.png shows you the "WHY."

  • INTENSE & DARK: Look at the left side of the mirror. The brow looks blocky and aggressive. This is the INTENSE & DARK (DAY 3-5) phase. It is not your final result.
  • THE PATCHY PHASE: Look at the right side of the mirror. This brow is patchy, irregular, and has pronounced flakes (consistent with the visual language of image_1.png). This is THE PATCHY PHASE (DAY 6-9).
  • DON’T PANIC! The stylized hand from image_1.png is back, ready to scratch, but a giant red 'DON'T PANIC!' graphic stops it. Itching means healing. You must not touch!

Days 8–14: The 'Lifestyle Adjustment' Phase

By week two, your brows may look light or foggy—this is the 'ghosting' phase where new skin covers the pigment. The internal healing is intense, so your lifestyle must protect the 'The 14-Day Shield'.

IMAGE 3: Total Avoidance & Protection Triptych image_1.png established the palette. image_3.png establishes the complete boundaries.

  • LEFT (NO SWEATING): Sweat contains salt, which will pull pigment out. This panel shows an exerciser with the same bold red 'NO' graphic (referencing image_1.png style) meaning NO SWEATING (DAYS 1-14).
  • CENTER (THE 14-DAY SHIELD): Your 'YES' zone! Wear a massive, wide-brimmed hat with UV 50+ protection. The image shows a glowing, green protective dome called THE 14-DAY SHIELD deflecting the sun. Sun exposure is the number one cause of fading.
  • RIGHT (NO SAUNA/STEAM): Heat and moisture open pores and introduce bacteria. The graphic shows NO SAUNA/STEAM (DAYS 1-14). This also means long, steamy showers are off-limits!

The Golden Rules for the First 14 Days

  1. Water is NOT your friend: No swimming, saunas, hot tubs, or long steamy showers.
  2. Sweat is an Enemy: Skip intense workouts.
  3. Hands OFF: Never touch, pick, scratch, or rub your brows.
  4. No Makeup or Skincare: Do not apply any products, including foundation or moisturizer, around or on your brows (only use the provided aftercare ointment).
  5. Sleep Smart: Sleep on your back to avoid rubbing your face on your pillow.

By following this guide and referencing the visual cues in our illustrations, you ensure that your microblading heals perfectly and lasts beautifully. Your touch-up appointment at 6-8 weeks will finalize the process.
